Privacy Policy

Draft for review · Updated 15 September 2026

This policy explains how MaxCredit Pte Ltd handles personal data provided through this website, including enquiries, applications and supporting documents. Read it alongside our Website Terms.

1. Information we collect

For enquiries, we collect your name, email, telephone number, loan interest, subject and message. For applications, we collect your contact details; identification type and number, date of birth, nationality, residential and marital status; home address, type of residence and home ownership; optional number of dependants, sex and highest education; requested loan type and amount; loan purpose, whether you have documents showing it, how you intend to repay and how you would like statements sent; optional referral source; answers to customer due-diligence questions, with any details you give, and your acceptance of the application declarations; employment status and monthly income; optional employer, occupation, employment start date, company address, usual payday, living expenses and existing debt-payment figures; together with the identity document, payslip, CPF statement, income tax assessment and proof of loan purpose you choose to upload.

Documents may contain identification numbers, photographs, addresses and financial information. Proof of loan purpose may also show details such as medical, education or renovation bills. Provide only requested documents. Do not send identity documents through the general enquiry form or provide passwords, Singpass credentials or one-time passwords.

Identity information is collected where required by law or necessary to establish or verify identity to a high degree of accuracy. When Singpass Myinfo is available and you consent to retrieval, we request your NRIC/FIN, principal and alias names, sex, marital status, date and country of birth, nationality, residential status, registered address and its housing type, whether you own the HDB flat at that address, pass type, status and expiry where available, email, mobile number, employment-related CPF contribution history, detailed income tax assessment history, employer name and occupation. For HDB ownership we request only flat addresses, not purchase, lease or loan details. Availability depends on your records and the approved Myinfo scopes. You can review these records before including them in your application or continue manually; records you include prefill the matching application fields.

Hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and security-check results to deliver the website and prevent abuse.

2. Why we use your information

We seek consent where required and may process data without consent where the law permits or requires it. An application or enquiry is not, by itself, consent to unrelated marketing. We will notify you of additional purposes and obtain consent where required.

3. Access and disclosures

Authorised staff access application information as needed for their work. Providers supporting hosting, database and document storage, email delivery and security may process data for those functions. Enquiries are delivered to our team by email. Application notification emails contain a reference and staff review link rather than copies of uploaded documents.

Information may be disclosed to authorities, professional advisers or other recipients where required or permitted by law and necessary for the relevant purpose. The application declarations describe the credit-bureau submissions, credit checks and disclosures you authorise, including to the Registry of Moneylenders and the Moneylenders Credit Bureau. Any further disclosures associated with an eventual loan will be explained in the relevant loan notices.

Where providers process data outside Singapore, the transfer must meet applicable PDPA requirements, including comparable protection. Contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.

4. Browser drafts and external services

The application can save entered details, Myinfo records you accept and selected documents in your browser so you can resume on the same device. Drafts expire seven days after the last saved edit and expired data is removed when you next open the application page. A successful submission or an explicit discard clears the saved draft. We cannot clear browser data while the device is offline or the page is closed.

On a shared device, discard your draft when finished or clear this website’s browser data. Clearing a draft does not delete information already received by MaxCredit. An interrupted submission may already have sent information or documents to us.

Myinfo authentication uses a short-lived encrypted cookie. Accepted Myinfo records include source and retrieval timestamps and are protected against modification before server submission. Authentication tokens are not saved with applications. Retrieval records expire for new submissions after seven days; you can retrieve them again or continue manually. Unaccepted records are discarded when you leave or close the retrieval review.

Security checks may use browser storage or similar technologies. The Contact page embeds Google Maps, which may receive technical information when loaded and process it under Google’s privacy policy. External services and linked application pages may have their own privacy notices.

5. Retention and protection

We retain information while needed for identified legal or business purposes, including moneylending recordkeeping requirements. Periods depend on the record, application outcome, loan or customer relationship end, and any investigation or legal hold. Unsuccessful or withdrawn applications do not necessarily qualify for immediate deletion.

Enquiry correspondence, applications and documents may have different retention periods. When the relevant purposes and legal requirements no longer apply, data should be deleted or anonymised, including through applicable backup retention processes.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted staff and document access. No online service guarantees absolute security. We will notify authorities and affected individuals of breaches where legally required.

6. Requests and privacy enquiries

You may request access to your data and information about its use or disclosure, ask for corrections, withdraw consent or raise a privacy complaint, subject to legal exceptions. We may need to verify your identity and will explain any applicable access fee before proceeding.

Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to assess an application or provide a service. It does not require deletion of records that must lawfully be retained. We will explain the relevant consequences when handling your request.

For privacy enquiries, call +65 6336 4144, use our contact page, or write to MaxCredit Pte Ltd, 447 Clementi Avenue 3, #01-201, Singapore 120447. State that your enquiry concerns personal data. Do not include identity-document copies in an initial general enquiry.

7. Updates

We may revise this policy as services or data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. We will provide further notice or obtain consent for new purposes where required.
